Best Online Distance Learning Programme

IndustryMasters is delighted to announce we have won the Gold Award for Best Online Distance Learning Programme 2020 from Learning Technologies.

Our partnership with Warwick Business School and their Business in Practice (BiP) Program was recognized as one of the year’s most innovative learning programs.

Prior to 2020, the program had been a blended learning module with students from around the world attending traditional, in-person classes. COVID-19 forced a transition to an entirely online experience with the same global student base of 450 participants now learning from their home countries. BiP focuses on increasing and practicing business acumen skills and became a fully digital solution aimed at also preparing students for remote working, collaborating in teams across multiple locations and time zones, and incorporating the latest in technology and tools, as a result of the global pandemic.

By supporting students’ professional readiness through an immersive, online business simulation, custom-developed by IndustryMasters, the program offers an opportunity to test ideas and actively practice new knowledge. “Intensive, yet rewarding,” was how one student described the event.

Distance Education

Learning Technologies is one of Europe’s leading exhibitions about learning in the workplace and the technologies that make this possible.

Distance education was forced upon everyone as a result of the pandemic causing school closures. A virtually delivered simulation allows educators to create a positive learning environment using advanced educational technology without sacrificing quality learning.

“The partnership with Warwick Business School allowed us to craft a business simulation that tested their MSc students’ business knowledge and pushed them to display those skills in a fun, engaging and competitive way,” noted Bryan Rimmer, IndustryMasters’ CEO. Rimmer further noted, “We’ve been delivering completely online learning experiences for many years, having developed web-based business simulations for more than a decade now. We were fully prepared to meet the demands brought on by COVID.”
